Someone Asked Premanand Ji Maharaj: Maharaj ji by the mercy of shriji I have interest in chanting her name and I chant her name every day I'm currently a student and I'm used to staying up late and studying based on everybody's advice I tried for a long time to wake up early and study but I did not like it will this schedule be harmful for my body and my mind in long term or should I continue as it is?(How To Balancing Study, Sleep, and Spiritual Practice By Premanand Ji Maharaj)

Premanand Ji Maharaj Says: how long do you stay up till 2:30 or 3:00am in the morning. yes these days the kids who are studying hard they tell me they have this kind of schedule they were going to Bath and toilet at 9:00 a.m. and when I asked him why are you waking up this late.

They said we study till 2:30 or 3:00 a.m. in the morning so if you adjust the schedules sleep by 11:00 p.m. and then 12, 1, 2, 3, 4 , 5, that's 6 hours if you wake up at 5:00 a.m. and we study through 9:00 a.m. because if you wake up at 9:00 a.m. that is against scriptural injunctions and it's not good for your health.

Because Brahm Muhurat between 4:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. if you sleep at this time it harms your celibacy and your age wealth Fame Vigor Etc are diminished because Lord Narayan in the form of Sun God is appearing to give light to the world and we're sleeping even in the Villages I've seen there's clamor and everyone wakes up at 4:00 a.m.

So if you want to be on the right path we should adjust one time I saw students going to washroom at 9:15 he said he woke up at 9:00 a.m. and studied till 2:30 a.m. so what if you adjust the time.

Someone Says: maharaj ji I wake up in the morning but I find I'm not as focused as I am at nighttime.

Premanand Ji Maharaj Says: because you're not used to it you have not practiced that is why.

Someone Says: but I tried for a long time but it did not work for me.

Premanand Ji Maharaj Says: no you didn't practice properly otherwise I'm saying by experience it works up I'm saying wake up at 5:00 p.m. have some water then walk a little 100 200 steps then go to the washroom then exercise for half an hour and then do pranayam for 20 minutes then you start your studies your memory will be fresh and clear how long should I try this we have to try our entire life we are students today tomorrow we will have a job business farming Etc. 

We should have a fixed schedule for sleeping and waking up in life unlimit if you're very busy then 7 hours is enough for sleeping 6 hours is usually enough but take 7 hours for People Like Us devotees 2 or 3 hours is enough lots of time we just leave 1 and 1 half hours in 24 hours 1 and 1/2 hours based on your level of devotion you can sleep a maximum 5 hours nothing beyond that.

Otherwise you're not considered a devotee maximum five but if you're a farmer very active businessman or someone exercising a lot take 7 hours that's a maximum see I'm repeating the same thing your daily schedule brings a Vigor what you will not understand by studying in six hours you will understand in 2 hours your intelligence will be sharp your intelligence will be bright you will have power.

But if you're sleeping in braham Muhurat then taking a bath at 9:00 a.m. it has no significance you should wake wake up between 4 and 5 take a bath run for 1 or 2 kilm do pram then try studying so practice and eat satk food see people see people like us we sleep for 1 and a half or 2 hours and feel completely fresh because we practice since childhood our entire life maybe we don't even feel sleepy in that time slot.

Sometimes days bass and we don't sleep so by practice you can have a very good daily routine I cannot tell you that the sun is rising and you sleep and it's okay it may happen on the rare occasion but it should not be your daily schedule routine staying up till 2:30 and then sleeping in it affects your health it affects your intelligence it will affect your Vitality today. we consider earning wealth to be intelligence only enjoying sense pleasures.

This is considered intelligence someone asked a question I've seen that those who eat meat drink alcohol wake up at 11:00 a.m. and they're very wealthy and healthy they don't have any problems okay you may consider this to be fun but you will leave your body in due time then what is left everything will be left behind you didn't control your senses you didn't chant the Holy Name you didn't have religiosity then what is left what did you accomplish in life.

What is the goal of human life the happiness you feel on your mattress the pig feels the same happiness in sludge the pleasure you feel in Intercourse he has same pleasure in meeting how your kids are dear to you his kids are dear to him how you like worldly Comforts he likes warm it how you like desserts and rasgulas he likes warm it so what is the difference what is the difference between animal and us our life should be spiritual our life should be focused on God on serving Society it should be glorious and centered on loving God that is what we discussed previously.

We think we are so intelligent so strong and for small things brothers are killing each other killing their parents this is intelligence what is a value of such degrees "vidya vinayam dadati" we should consider parents like God and follow their instructions who is doing this how many kids touch their parents' feet these days God himself is residing in their house and they're disrespecting them is this knowledge, knowledge means "vinayam dadati" tolerant self-controlled patient gentle.

Who has these qualities these days demonic thinking is on the rise man that is demonic thinking we are eating prohibited things oh child you have come here and ask a question that is why we're telling you improve now otherwise the environment will become verse in the future people's intelligence will keep getting corrupted.

The scriptures instruct we should not eat after 11: p.m. and then after 6:00 a.m. we are not nocturnal animals enjoying at night but people don't understand these things nowadays people just enjoy sense objects eat and die that's all the intelligence that's left see for yourself we should just make money by any means aarin but they may be educated but culture politeness religiosity truthfulness Purity is nowhere to be found they appear beautiful externally artificially but no Purity is found.

They have intelligence but no intellect they have many degrees but no humility or culture they talk so rudely with their parents and with their Elders like they're crazy people we should be so respectful to Elders that they feel proud.

They raised us they gave us their time and energy at least our words can be sweet it's rare to find Sweet Behavior so this is my request you know kids these days so just understand one who wakes up at brah has an fence about him he will be intelligent he will be tolerant and he will achieve world and spiritual success for sure one who doesn't have restraint will not achieve worldly or spiritual success all these bad behaviors.

These days these will harm your life you may not understand this because food is not pure and Association is not pure that's why Tulsi Das Gosawami is saying at the last moment of your life when no one can accompany you then you will repent we had come here to do Bhajan and what did we achieve? nothing therefore chant Radha Radha Radha have Good Conduct don't have any addictions and improve your schedule.

Now I have so many allopathic medicines I have dialysis otherwise I never took any medicines just tell me something once and it'll be recorded in my mind anything in my memory pure memory you'll be able to grasp in two hours what you cannot learn in 6 hours your intelligence will be sharp.

So take sattvic food improve your schedule and your life will become a means to please God and if God is happy my purpose for giving you this time is that you understand your time is precious and you should not waste it one time I mentioned in satsang that your life you earned for 50 years years giving it 50 years.
